Support Disaster Relief in Haiti

When a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti on January 12, we knew exactly what it meant. We lived through a similar tragedy on August 17, 1999, when thousands died instantly under the rubble of toppled buildings. As search and rescue efforts gradually gave way to care and recovery tasks, an even grimmer picture emerged with thousands more injured, lost, left homeless and in need. It is still painful for most Turkish-Americans to talk about it today, without misty eyes and lumpy throats, remembering the loved ones lost so unexpectedly.

Turkish-Americans, therefore, enthusiastically join recovery efforts mobilizing around the world to assist earthquake victims with cash donations.

Dear Turkish-Americans, your donations will help disaster victims rebuild their lives and their communities. Numerous organizations are organizing relief efforts in response to the devastating earthquake in Haiti. If you would like to support these efforts, please make your donations via links provided below.

Thank you.

Gunay Evinch President Assembly of Turkish American Associations
