OCTAA - Walk for Unity

Celebrating Irvine’s Cultural Diversity & Supporting the Great Park Multicultural Center

Saturday, October 4, 2008

Make plans to travel the world at the City of Irvine’s Annual Global Village Festival on Saturday, October 4, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Bill Barber Park.  Participate in the Walk for Unity pre-event activity from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m., which is the first major fundraiser supporting the development of a Multicultural Center at the Great Park.  Show your support for celebrating diversity during the pre-event Walk for Unity and visit the festival for a memorable tour around the world!

Boasting artistic cultural performances on three stages, the Festival’s live entertainment is a mosaic of music and dance representing more than 50 cultures from Europe, Asia, Africa, and North and South America. Immerse yourself in cultural displays, world religion and demonstrations, indulge in international cuisine, explore our world marketplace and keep the little ones in motion with hands-on art projects, games and activities in a giant, interactive Kids Village.

Festival admission and parking are free.

Food court tasting tickets are available for purchase at the event.

Walk for Unity participation includes a minimum $20 recommended donation.

You may also support by sponsoring at a variety of levels (sponsor@WalkForUnity.org)
